Mostly cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms will inhibit ozone production east of the dryline through the weekend; however, ozone may reach the moderate category where the sun breaks through the clouds in the afternoon.  Meanwhile, west of the dryline, bright sunshine and a dry atmosphere will foster moderate ozone and very high fire danger, and strong breezes may loft locally unhealthy windblown dust.  An incursion of cool and dry air will arrive on Monday, so ozone may reach near or above the top of the moderate category under bright sunshine beneath the frontal inversion, especially with light winds.  Southerly breezes will bring back the moisture and allow scattered showers to resume in the eastern counties toward the middle of next week.
