Overnight widespread thunderstorms left clean air in Oklahoma.  More thunderstorms with rain on Friday evening will ensure good air quality for the weekend.  Cool, dry air will arrive after the rains, but the bright sunshine and frontal inversion will foster ozone formation in urban areas.  As the surface dries, agricultural and prescribed fires may resume in eastern Oklahoma.  Any fires may produce locally unhealthy smoke and enhance ozone production.  A broad region of moderate fine particulate matter also may develop.  Moisture will return slowly, and widespread rain showers will develop toward the end of next week.
